Overview
This one-week long ADVANCED level camp is aimed at our more mature snowboarders, typically 50 years of age and above.
This camp is designed to focus on efficiency, riding technique, physical conditioning, and scoring the best snow each day. The skills we develop on this camp help to create smooth riding, terrain adaptability, and efficiency of movement with what your own body is capable of (and any limitations you may have). The shortened riding sessions each day help to maximise energy output, without exhausting the legs completely. This camp has a more freeride and carve focus but is flexible to get in the air sometimes - if there is desire from the group and the landings are soft.
The camp includes five days of coaching/guiding, with shorted on-snow sessions; likely to be 2x 2hr sessions, starting early to ensure the best snow conditions, with a nice gap in between to do some video analysis. Each day will finish with an Onsen visit and lots of opportunity to stretch and mobilise the body for the following day. A visit to a sports masseuse and/or physio is also an optional addition.
The package includes seven nights of accommodation at the magical CAMP3 Clubhouse Madarao, five days of lift passes for all the mountains you ride, daily breakfast and three dinners in the clubhouse, 4WD transport to the local resorts each day and arrival/departure transfers to and from the local train station. The start and end dates specified above are the ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE dates (i.e. not on snow).
All camps need a minimum of three people per group to run, with a maximum six per group. Check our FAQs for more details on CAMP3.
