Overview

This one-week long ADVANCED level camp is for riders who want to hit a different resort every day of the week. This one is all about in-bounds adventuring!

Based out of Madarao initially, this camp will hit 5 different resorts and explore everything they have to offer. This is ideal for those advanced riders who have only a short time available and want to see as much as possible. Alongside Madarao, we will ride at the neighbouring resort Tangram, Nozawa Onsen, one of the Myoko resorts, and one other resort TBC (depending on what the group want and what the conditions are like).

While this is more focused on resort guiding, the coaching itself is flexible to explore any in-bounds riding you and the group choose; including freeride, freestyle and carve.

The camp includes five days of coaching and resort guiding, at five hours per day. The package includes seven nights of accommodation at the magical CAMP3 Clubhouse Madarao, five days of lift passes for all the mountains you ride, daily breakfast and three dinners in the clubhouse, 4WD transport to the local resorts each day and arrival/departure transfers to and from the local train station. The start and end dates specified above are the ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE dates (i.e. not on snow).

Ability Levels

This is an advanced level camp! You need to be comfortable riding black off-trail terrain, in the trees and powder to join this camp.

Inclusions

Coaching & Guiding: 5 days of expert coaching (over a 6-day window).
Lift Passes: 5 days of passes at the resorts you visit along the way.
Accommodation: 7 nights of accommodation, at our very own Japan CAMP3 Clubhouse Madarao.
Food: Daily breakfast (with a wider variety of choice than previous years) and 3 evening meals (buffet-style) spread out over the camp.
Transport: Transfers to and from Iiyama Station (must be arranged ahead of time) and to the local resorts in one of our 4WD vans.
Off-snow Additions: Transport down to the local onsen 2-3 evenings per week, with time to eat dinner at the restaurant. Video analysis sessions to breakdown and analyse your riding in more detail. Evening movies, board games, beers and banter with the crew!

Not included: flights, train travel to Iiyama, insurance (must cover off-piste) and your snowboard equipment.

Accommodation & Transport

Accommodation is based on twin-share rooms with ensuite bathrooms at the vibing CAMP3 Clubhouse Madarao, located just 100m from the chairlifts of Madarao Mountain Resort (almost slope side!). Guests enjoy daily breakfast, with lots of healthy choices, a welcome dinner on the first evening, plus additional communal dinner nights throughout the camp experience. A limited number of single occupancy rooms are available at an additional cost of ¥‎5,000 per night. If you wish to reserve a single occupancy room, please indicate this in the comments box in the booking form below.

Transfers available from Iiyama Shinkansen Station (bullet train direct from Tokyo) are available on the camp start and end dates. Dates shown are accommodation arrival and departure days.
