THE WHO



CAMP3's one and two-week long Japan snowboard camps are for those riders looking to surround themselves with other like-minded shredders and achieve some real progression in their riding while immersing themselves in the renowned powder (and culture!) of Japan.

Our Japan camps are for novice, intermediate, advanced, and even expert riders looking to progress in all-mountain freeride and freestyle environments. Each camp has specific riding levels assigned, so you know you'll be riding with people of a similar ability. We also have instructor training camps, for certified snowboard instructors aiming to progress onto the higher levels of certification.

From Japan's legendary trees and powder lines, to the easy-access backcountry and Japan's playful parks; this is some of the most fun riding you will ever have!

"The coaches were all very experienced and offered individual instructions to everyone on the course to help achieve their goals. We snowboarded at 5 different resorts in the Nagano area, which was a great introduction to riding in Japan. The clubhouse in Madarao is awesome, it had everything we needed, comfortable rooms, a cosy common room, workshop, drying room and a bar. One-Week Improvement Camps

For novice and intermediate riders!

For lesser experienced riders looking to progress in carve, freeride or freestyle environments, but with limited time available. These one-week camps are available for various weeks throughout January and February.

Two-Week Progression Camps

For intermediate to expert level riders!

Builds skills towards one specific environment, like the Steep & Deep camp or Sidecountry Explorer camp. These camps are designed for ultimate riding progression in the relevant terrain.

Focused on SBINZ Level Two and Three

For certified instructors looking to train towards the next level of certification, this is the place to come to build your skills towards the Level Three and above standards.

Our one-week snowboard improvement camps are based in Madarao and Tangram, aimed at novice and intermediate riders. The camps include 4 days of coaching (approximately 5hrs of coaching per day), over a 5-day window, with 6 nights of accommodation.

The one-week explorer camps are for advanced and expert riders, looking to ride at different resorts in the region. These camps include 5 days of coaching (approximately 5hrs of coaching per day), over a 6-day window, with 7 nights of accommodation.

Our two-week progression camps are carefully designed to help you progress in specific environment, meaning we build your skills in one aspect of riding, like the Freestyle Versatility or the Steep & Deep camp. These camps have 8 days of coaching at approximately 5hrs of coaching per day, with 12 nights of accommodation.

All our Japan camps are based out of our very own lodge, Clubhouse Madarao. Prices include accommodation, breakfast and lift passes.

Note that all members joining camps for the first time in a season are required to fill out two forms; a liability waiver form and an individual details form. The forms can be found here.

Our Japan camps are tailored to those looking to explore a new overseas destination with a super-fun crew of shredders and coaches who know the locations like the back of their hand. The camps are based out of Madarao Mountain Resort and explore a huge variety of locations in both Nagano and Niigata prefectures.
