Overview
This two week intensive training camp is specifically aimed at developing the riding skills and knowledge required for the SBINZ Level THREE certification. It is a riding-focused camp, which also builds knowledge, understanding and analysis skills. Some of the SBINZ L3 teaching methodology will also be touched on during the camp.
Here at CAMP3, we believe in building the initial skills required for the L3 standard together in a camp environment, then participants can continue their own riding development as best suits them; whether it's further camps, self-guided practice, or another season of riding experience.
This instructor training camp is based out of the CAMP3 Clubhouse in Madarao Mountain Resort, Japan. It includes 10 days of intensive training with CAMP3's top-level coaches (who are current SBINZ L3 Examiners), 13 nights of accommodation and a season pass for Madarao/Tangram resort. The coaching is approximately 5 hours per day.
During the training, we utilise the diverse terrain in Madarao and Tangram to push your riding skill set, focusing on freeride, freestyle, carving AND versatility! From training runs in the steeps and bumps, to fast gully laps, epic tree riding and fun park sessions, the Madarao-Tangram combo has it all. The camp also includes a 2 day trips to neighbouring resorts, such as Nozawa, X-Jam or Myoko. Our coaches will balance the time efficiently between slower tasks and drills to build movement patterns, whilst pushing your limits to achieve a higher level of performance. You'll also get feedback on your demos, do multiple analysis sessions and grow your understanding of all L3 skills.
We value building an inclusive, team culture to create a supportive environment for everyone, whilst all working towards a collective goal that is the L3 certification. Unlike other training providers, our maximum group size is 6, meaning smaller groups and more individual attention.
This camp also includes a welcome dinner and 5 additional dinner nights during your stay at the clubhouse, plus transfers to and from the local train station. The dates specified above are the ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE DATES (i.e. not on snow).
