Overview
This is a very specific, SBINZ Level Three exam-focused camp, aimed at L2 instructors who have trained with CAMP3 before and plan to sit their L3 exam in Japan 2025.
This camp is based out of the CAMP3 Clubhouse in Madarao Mountain Resort, Japan. It includes 5 days of training over a 6 day window, with a Level Three examiner.
During the training, we will spend 3 days locally in Madarao and 2 days travelling to Myoko, Nozawa or X-Jam to find different terrain and get time in various terrain parks.
The coaching is approximately five hours per day, with a 1 evening session included. We value building an inclusive, team culture to create a supportive environment for everyone, whilst all working towards their next certification. Unlike other training providers, our maximum group size is 6.
This camp also includes a welcome dinner, plus transfers to and from the local train station. The start and end dates specified above are the arrival and departure days (i.e. not on snow).

Ability Levels
This camp is aimed at Level Two certified instructors who have attended the SBINZ Level Three workshops already and are booked on the Level Three exams.
Costs & Inclusions
- Camp Cost
- ¥295,000 JPY - all inclusive with everything in this list!
- Coaching & Training
- A total of 5 days of training at 5hrs per day (over a 6 day window).
- Lift Passes
- Lift passes during the 5 days of training.
- Accommodation
- 7 nights of accommodation, with daily breakfast, at our very own Japan CAMP3 Clubhouse Madarao.
- Transport
- Transfers to and from Iiyama Station, and 2 day trips to other resorts in the area.
- Epic Additions
- Welcome dinner on the first night. Free access to the CAMP3 demo board fleet (Jones Snowboards and United Shapes). Evening beers and banter with the crew!
Not included: flights, train travel to Iiyama, insurance (must cover off-piste and park riding) and your snowboard equipment.
Optional Add-ons
Avalanche Course
Prior to this camp starting, we have an Avalanche Level One (ASC1) scheduled on 18th and 19th February. This is an additional cost and numbers dependent.
Freestyle Versatility Camp Add-on
Add 12 more days of freestyle-specific training, by joining the Freestyle Versatility camp running from 02/02/2025-13/02/2025.
The SBINZ Level Three has a strong freestyle element to it, as you probably know. If this level of riding concerns you, we strongly recommend joining us early for our Freestyle Versatility camp, where your park riding skills will go through the roof.
In conjunction with this camp, we can offer the 2-week Freestyle Versatility camp at a reduced cost of ¥395,000.
Accommodation & Transport
Accommodation is on a twin-share basis (with ensuite bathrooms), at the vibing CAMP3 Clubhouse Madarao (just 100m from the chairlifts of Madarao Mountain Resort), with daily breakfast and a welcome dinner on the first night. Check out CAMP3 Clubhouse Madarao here.
A VERY limited number of single occupancy rooms may be available at an additional cost of ¥5000 per night (¥120,000 for the duration of this camp). If you wish to reserve a single occupancy room, please indicate this in the comments box in the booking form below. Note that we cannot guarantee a single occupancy room until a few weeks before the camp begins.
Transfers available from Iiyama Shinkansen Station (bullet train direct from Tokyo) are available on the camp start and end dates. Dates shown are accommodation arrival and departure days.
