Overview

This two-week performance carving camp will give you the tools and skills to carve up every trail on the mountain with style, plus have a go at racing in the qualifiers of the renowned Treble Cone Banked Slalom if you so choose.

Split between Cardrona and Treble Cone, his camp is focused on advanced carving techniques, edge pressure, line choice, and going FAST! You will spend time riding in short preparation courses to help you with line choice and confidence. Video feedback will be used regularly on this camp and two evening video analysis sessions are included, plus priority lift line access through the snowsports lane at Cardrona and Treble Cone.

All camps need a minimum of 3 per group to run, with a maximum of 6 per group.

Skills & Focuses

Some of the core skills focused on during this camp include (but are not limited to):

  • Stance scale and the high performance stance
  • Edging skills and awareness
  • Create early edge set abilities
  • Understand the benefits of tail pressure
  • Develop confidence with speed on and off trail
  • Read terrain and line decision making
  • The pros and cons of a flexed edge change
  • Explore variations in gate setting
  • Learn about basic line choices in gates
  • Event preparation and race tactics

This camp is predominately coaching-focused, but we'll get into some natural terrain when the time is right.

Please read our FAQs for further understanding of how the ratio of coaching and guiding is applied on camps.

Ability Levels

This camp is aimed at advanced level riders. We aim to have two different level of groups on this camp, allowing us to focus our ride time on more different group needs. Read about our five-stage ability level here. Last year, one of the members of this camp achieved the fastest female time in TC Banked Slalom qualifiers and made it to the finals.
