Overview

A one-week snowboard skills camp for advanced riders, who are WANAKA LOCALS looking for a short dose of technique-focused coaching to kick off their winter season.

This camp is focused on all-mountain riding, with exploration in freestyle, freeride and carve. It will be targeted 50-50 between Cardrona and Treble Cone (as long as the early-season conditions are reasonable). The half day sessions (9.30-12) help riders to get their legs back and learn some new skills, yet allow for independent practice time in the afternoons.

All camps need a minimum of three people per group to run, with a maximum six per group.

Skills & Focuses

Some of the core skills focused on during this camp include (but are not limited to):

  • Optimise your stance and equipment
  • Build freestyle skills all over the mountain
  • Increase range of movement in the body
  • Build confidence riding in the off-piste
  • Explore freestyle / freeriding / carving techniques (depending on the group’s goals)

Ability Levels

This camp is aimed at LOCAL advanced riders. At the minimum, you should be comfortable riding black off-piste terrain. If you are new to CAMP3, we may need to ask ask for a video of your riding to check that you are, in fact, an advanced rider. Read about our five-stage ability level here.

Inclusions

Coaching
4 days of all-mountain coaching over a 5 day window, at 2.5rs per day (9.30-12).
Priority Lift Line
All our NZ camps include priority lift line access through the snowsports lane at Cardrona and Treble Cone.
Lift Passes
A discounted CAMP3 season pass can be purchased for $1395.

Lift Passes

A discounted unlimited season pass is available to any CAMP3 member who joins a camp in the same season for the cost of $1395. A 5-day anytime can be purchase direct with the resort. All lift passes must be pre-arranged with at least three days notice. Please specify if you require this when booking.
