New Zealand
Overview
This five-week long Level Three Instructor Training Camp is focused 100% on instructors preparing for their Level Three in SBINZ and AASI.
These two different snowboard instructing systems have a lot of similarities in riding styles and standards. They also present opportunities to learn from different teaching concepts and methodologies. CAMP3 brings together some of the most experienced trainers from each of the USA and NZ under one roof, to help you reach the Level Three standard in your own system, whilst learning from other nations along the way.
This is the place to truly build your high-end riding, fine-tune your movements, work on any weaknesses, and establish a clear picture on where you sit in relation to the exam standards. Ride with some the most experienced Level Three Examiners in the world and fast track your training!
All camps need a minimum of four people per group to run, with a maximum six per group.
Coaches: A variety of top Level Three Examiners will be training on this camp, including Rhys Jones, Richie Johnston, Tony Macri and Keith Stubbs.
Ability Levels
This camp is specifically for Level Two Certified instructors in SBINZ, AASI or BASI (i.e. advanced riders). Read about our five-stage ability level here.
Opportunities exist to attend either the SBINZ and AASI Level Three certifications in 2025, in conjunction with this course (but not BASI just yet). The cost of the SBINZ Level Three workshops and exam modules are all clearly stated on the SBINZ website. The cost of the AASI Level Three exam will depend on number of candidates, but will likely be between $1500-$2000 NZD per person.
For SBINZ certified instructors, it is highly recommended that you have attended the SBINZ Level Three Workshops prior to this camp. The Level Three workshops are purposely scheduled to run the week prior to this camp. The Level Three exams are scheduled the week after this camp. They can be booked direct with SBINZ here.
For AASI instructors, opportunities will be created during the camp to fulfil your CEU requirements, ensuring you have enough credits to join the AASI Level Three exam. We also have the ability to run an AASI FS1 (Freestyle Specialist L1).
For CASI Level Two instructors, we strongly recommend you join our Bridge the Gap Camp before considering this Level Three Training Camp. SBINZ does not recognise CASI Level Two as a suitable pre-requisite for the SBINZ Level Three. Read more about pre-requisites with SBINZ here.
Please state your certification level and system for the Level Three focus in the comments box below when booking.
