Myoko Camp 2020

09/02/2020 - 16/02/2020

Overview

5 days of freeride and freestyle coaching in a 6 day window. We will ride at Myoko Akakura, Suginohara, Lotte Arai and potentially Madarao (daily transport provided). This camp will have a balance of park and powder, including drops, pillow lines, trees, lots of all-mountain freestyle and carving, and plenty of park riding on the non-powder days.

Ability Levels

We will have two groups catering to the following ability levels...

Intro to park and powder level: You should be comfortable riding all groomed terrain and beginning to explore off-trail in the trees and attempting small jumps. This group will be focusing on confidence in their freeride and beginner freestyle abilities.

Advanced park and powder: This is for those who are more comfortable freeriding in variable snow and hitting natural features in powder. You should be learning to spin off park jumps and trying different types of boxes and rails.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be at a secret lodge called Yuki Ohana, tucked away in nature in Myoko area. It is a twin share basis, with shared bathrooms (separated by male and female). There is an onsen over the road and the lodge has a full kitchen that we can use together for big dinners - breakfast is included. Transfers available by arrangement from Myoko Station (bullet train direct from Tokyo) at no additional cost. Dates shown are accommodation arrival and departure days (coaching is from 10th to 15th - 5 days out of 6).

The lodge looks like this...
